For Dungeon Siege II go to "Documents and Settings\*User Name*\My Documents\My Games\Dungeon Siege 2" and open "DungeonSiege2.ini" with a text editor. Search for...

width = ****
height = ****

Change "****" to your desired widescreen resolution.

For Broken World repeat the above using the location ""Documents and Settings\*User Name*\My Documents\My Games\Dungeon Siege 2 Broken World" and the file "DungeonSiege2BrokenWorld.ini".

The following method will change the game from Vert - to Hor + and consists of eight steps. If you use the WSGF hosted files you can skip to step seven. If you using an aspect ratio other than the ones listed above you need to do every step.

Step #1 - Download the Dungeon Siege II Toolkit from Gas Powered Games. http://www.gaspowered.com/
Download the TankCreator2.1 utility from this site. http://www.zhixalom.com/

Step #2 - Install the Dungeon Siege II Toolkit and
start the program "Siege Editor II". Go to "File" and select "Convert .ds2map to Files...". Uncheck all checkboxes except for "Use default destination folder" and then select your source file to unpack.

For Dungeon Siege II go to "*Root Dungeon Siege II
Game Directory*\maps" and select "World.ds2map". Click OK to unpack the file. When the program is finsihed you can close the Siege Editor II.

If you have the Broken World expansion repeat step #2 using "*Root Broken World Game Directory*\maps" and unpack using the file called "xDS2XWorld.ds2map".

Step #3 - Create a folder name and location of your choice with the following subfolders located inside the folder "*Your Folder Name*\world\maps".

Step #4 - Go to "Documents and Settings\*User Name*\My
Documents\My Games\Dungeon Siege 2 Mod\Bits\world\maps". You should see the folder
"ds2_world" and if you have Broken World you will
also see "ds2x_world".

For Dungeon Siege II go into the "ds2_world" folder
and delete everything except "main.gas". If you have Broken World delete everything in "ds2x_world" except for "main.gas".

Step #5 - For Dungeon Siege II open the "main.gas" file in the "ds2_world" folder with a text editor. Search for...

f fov

Change the listed fov value based on your aspect ratio.

Examples
Default 60
16:9 - 75.182336
15:9 - 71.638032
16:10 - 69.432321

Save the file. If you have Broken World repeat this step with the "main.gas" file located in the "ds2x_world" folder.

Step #6 - Copy the "ds2_world" folder containing the "main.gas" file to the lowest subfolder in the folder created in Step #3. Your "main.gas" file should now be in "*Your Folder Name*\world\maps\ds2_world".

Start the TankCreator2.1 program and select the folder you created in Step #3 as your source folder. Select the destination file and name a file of your choice with the extension ".ds2res". Make sure you remember the location of the created file. Check the "DS2" radio button and run the program. The created file is all you need for the remaining steps.

If you have Broken World repeat this step using the "main.gas" file located in the "ds2x_world" folder. Choose a different file name when using the TankCreator2.1 so you do not accidentally overwrite the Dungeon Siege II file.

Step #7 - Place the Dungeon Siege II ".ds2res" file you created or downloaded in the "*Root Dungeon Siege II Game Directory*\Resources" folder. If you downloaded the file from WSGF (link) make sure to use the correct file for your aspect ratio.

If you have Broken World place the Broken World ".ds2res" file in the "*Root Broken World Game Directory*\resources" folder.

Step #8 - Go to "*Root Dungeon Siege II Game Directory*\maps" folder and copy "World.ds2map" to the "*Root Dungeon Siege II Game Directory*\Resources" folder. Rename the extension on the "World.ds2map" file so it is "World.ds2res".
